Where Does the Food Go?

Loaves & Fishes rescues food and delivers it directly to our recipient agencies. Agencies must be:
  • 501(c)3 corporations and charities that are registered with the South Carolina Secretary of State or
  • assistance programs sponsored by churches.
The food we deliver is for the purpose of feeding those in need.  We are unable to deliver food in support of functions for members of an organization or a church.  Because the amount of food available is dependent upon the generosity of our food donors, not all agencies that apply can be served at the time application is made.  Eligible agencies may be put on a waiting list until supplies of food catch up with the demands of current agency recipients.

Agency directors may fill out the Agency Application and submit it to us by mail along with a copy of your 501(c)3 letter and registration letter from the South Carolina Secretary of State.  Church sponsored assistance programs please submit an original letter on letterhead from your sponsoring church and signed by the church pastor and a Church Qualifier Form along with the application.  All applying agencies and church sponsored programs must submit a signed Agency Agreement at the time of application.  Applications submitted without these documents will not be considered.  Directors will be notified by phone or letter.

Loaves & Fishes does not deliver food to private homes.
